My client has been engaged as MAIN CONTRACTOR to deliver a refurbishment project on a luxury 5* hotel in Edinburgh. The project is a 6 month programme and involves the refurbishment and fit out of Bars, Restaurants, Reception, Function facilities and Bedrooms, using specialist sub contractors and suppliers of high end products and materials , the scheme also has a high M&E element, all being delivered to an ultra high level of finish. Project value is circa £12m
 
As Commercial Manager, your role will be to head up and lead the commercials for the main contractor on this Scottish JCT short form FOC., overseeing a Quantity Surveyor and an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Working closely with a Senior Project Manager on procurement strategy, CVR’s cost reporting and management of team.
 
The project is in Edinburgh, due to start middle of November 2024.  Day rate to be agreed – likely to be somewhere circa £400 – £450 per day (TBA).  Duration 6 months + Final account.
